Renee J. Cox is an accomplished attorney admitted to practice in both North Carolina and Colorado.

She holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she distinguished herself by receiving the Dean’s Scholarship.

With a diverse legal background, Renee has dedicated her career to serving others in family law, child advocacy, and veterans’ rights. As an attorney at NicholsonPham, LLC, she specialized in drafting and negotiating various family law legal agreements, representing clients in divorce proceedings, and advocating for their interests in child support and custody matters.

Prior to her role at NicholsonPham, Renee served as a Guardian ad Litem at Child Advocates of Colorado, where she passionately represented the best interests of children in dependency and neglect case as well as juvenile delinquency cases.

During her time at the University of Denver, Renee gained valuable experience through internships with the Rocky Mountain Veterans Advocacy Project and the Office of the Child’s Representative, where she honed her skills in legal research, client representation, and case management. She also contributed to the legal community as a Student Attorney at the Colorado Juvenile Defender Center and by interning with the Veterans Advocacy Project at the University of Denver, where she advocated for homeless and low-income veterans to receive essential benefits and legal representation.

Prior to her legal career, Renee served her country as a Multi-disciplined Korean Language Analyst and Cryptologic Language Analyst in the United States Air Force for ten years. Throughout her military career, she worked missions at the National Security Agency in Maryland and Hawaii as well as a 2-year tour in the Republic of Korea. Her dedication to public service extends beyond her legal practice and military service, as she volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in both Hawaii and Denver, where she advocated for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the foster care system. Renee also holds an accreditation with Department of Veterans Affairs, so that she can continue to fight for veterans to receive the benefits and compensation they deserve.

Renee maintains a commitment to lifelong learning and professional development. She is known for her strong work ethic, dedication to client advocacy, and passion for making a positive impact in her community.
