Marisa Way practices in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate Law, Trust and Estate Administration, and Business Formation and Representation.
Marisa’s estate planning practice includes counseling clients with straightforward or complex estates, and everything in-between. She provides zealous representation of her clients, whether their primary goal is to provide for loved ones, or they are involved in more contentious matters.

Marisa’s goal overall is to provide peace of mind for her clients, and she achieves this by creating comprehensive estate plans for her clients that include wills and/or trusts, powers of attorney, advanced medical directives, instructions for personal property, and more. Marisa enjoys both forming new estate plans for clients, or reviewing documents that clients would like to update, and prides herself on creating plans that both meet clients’ current objectives and are resilient to future life changes and events.
Marisa’s Probate and Trust and Estate Administration practices focus on educating clients and efficiency, to ensure that personal representatives, trustees, powers of attorney, guardians or conservators understand their roles and responsibilities in administration matters.
When representing clients in Business Formation and Representation matters, Marisa ensures that business entities meet clients’ needs and goals, offer liability protection wherever possible, and work effectively with clients’ estate plans.
Prior to working in private practice, Marisa worked as a low/pro bono attorney, mainly serving clients who immigrated to the United States from Afghanistan. She also spent nearly ten years in the nonprofit sector, serving in both direct services and fundraising positions. These experiences have made community involvement a priority for Marisa.
Marisa received her bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Writing from The University of Iowa, and her Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.
