Daniel is a dedicated and experienced attorney whose practice has focused on trusts, estates and business law.

His practice involved oversight of an estate planning department in order to guide clients through their trust and estate planning needs, advising and assisting with the means and methods of estate and trust administration and assisting business clients with entity formation and business contract drafting needs.

As part of his practice, Daniel creates comprehensive estate plans tailored to client’s unique needs.  He regularly drafts last wills and testaments, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and marital trusts to ensure efficient and proper asset distribution and tax planning.  His planning also considers the client’s need to protect their assets from liabilities and other risks.

Daniel regularly advises and educates agents, personal representatives and trustees about their fiduciary responsibilities regarding management and distribution of trust assets, managing beneficiaries and ensuring compliance with the relevant document’s terms, conditions and applicable laws.  Daniel’s overarching objective is to insure the proper management and administration of assets that not only support the client’s needs as fiduciary, but also considers the “shadow of the future” and the need to try and mitigate familial disputes should they arise.

Daniel has advised businesses on entity structuring, use of buy-sell agreements and other agreements in relation to succession planning and successfully assisted business clients with employment and asset purchase agreements, non-disclosure agreements and the drafting of commercial real estate leases.  Daniel’s meticulous attention to detail and commitment to client-focused solutions has earned him a reputation as a trusted advisor in both personal and business legal matters.

Daniel earned his juris doctorate degree from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law and completed a master’s degree in international studies with a focus on alternative dispute resolution at the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies. During his time of study he acted as the primary research assistant for Professor Duong, participated in the Student Law Office – Civil Litigation Clinic and was awarded the Sam and Freda Davis Scholarship.  He also earned an undergraduate degree in political science and history from Colorado State University.  Daniel’s diverse academic background helps him approach legal issues with a broad perspective and a deep understanding of the legal and international factors that can affect his clients.

Outside of his practice, Daniel enjoys cooking, home brewing, and photography. An avid outdoorsman, he can often be found skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, or paddle boarding in Colorado’s beautiful landscapes.
