Mr. VanTine’s business representation includes representing businesses ranging from startups to companies that have been in business for decades.

“Folkestad Fazekas Barrick and Patoile, PC is an incredible law firm with a reputation as a pillar in the Douglas County community for over 40 years’. Their attorneys and staff have the same level of sophistication and legal expertise as the large downtown law firms but without all the big firm politics.” —Client Review

His practice includes business formation, general advising, intellectual property protection, contract drafting and review, drafting governing documents including operating agreements and bylaws, member and shareholder disputes including litigation and dispute resolution, and succession planning.

Brandon takes a hands-on approach from the outset of his representation by seeking to understand each client’s unique needs. He works with his clients to anticipate future challenges so that a potential conflict can be avoided, and, in the event of a conflict, Brandon has experience litigating contractual disputes and member and shareholder disputes in both direct and derivative actions.

Brandon’s real estate experience includes representing buyers and sellers in transactions for single-family residential homes to multi-million-dollar pieces of commercial real estate. He has experience drafting and reviewing deeds, residential leases, commercial leases, and has represented clients in land use and zoning disputes and applications for variances. He has also represented clients in refinancing transactions concerning commercial real estate and has litigated evictions from commercial properties and forcible entry and detainer (eviction) actions for residential properties.

Brandon has represented both buyers and sellers in complex mergers and acquisitions in deals ranging from several hundred thousand dollars to over $8 million. Brandon approaches each transaction with a problem-solving mindset and understanding that each transaction will have its own unique challenges and circumstances. Despite those challenges, Brandon keeps his clients’ best interests in mind to achieve the best result possible for his clients. He has experience in all aspects of a transaction from the initial letter of intent (LOI) through closing and even post-closing obligations.
