The Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce has announced its “Best of the Best” award winners for Business Person, Citizen, Castle Rock Advocate, and the Ping Lee Volunteer of the Year for 2013.
Jim Folkestad, a senior partner at the law firm, was recognized as a past recipient of the Business Person of the Year and the Volunteer of the Year. Gina Masterson, of counsel to the law firm was elected to the Board of Directors of the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce. Folkestad Fazekas Barrick & Patoile, P.C. leads by example and remains committed to the Castle Rock and surrounding communities.
Aaron Barrick, the managing partner of the law firm, received the Ping Lee Jung Volunteer of the Year Award. The award recognizes a Chamber of Commerce member who has unselfishly given of their time and talent to further the mission of the Chamber. Mr. Barrick is on the Board of Directors for the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce and is the past-chair of the Board. He is also presently on the Board of Directors for the Castle Rock Economic Partnership, the Castle Rock Park and Trails Foundation, and the Daniels Gate Recreation Association.
Ernie Fazekas, a senior partner at the law firm, received the Citizen of the Year Award. This award is given to a selfless individual based on their many years of volunteer activity within the community. The award is given to a person who demonstrates a dedication and loyalty to the Castle Rock area with commitment to service. Mr. Fazekas is the founder of the Douglas County Land Conservancy and the Castle Rock Park and Trails Foundation. He has served on numerous boards in the past.
The award winners were revealed at the 2014 Chamber Annual Banquet on Friday, April 25, 2014, at the Marriott Denver South at Park Meadows.
