Aaron Barrick has extensive trial experience as lead counsel in over 35 fully
litigated jury trials and over 100 administrative hearings. He specializes in
complex civil litigation with a focus on commercial litigation, real estate law,
land use, and construction law. He also acts as advocate and counselor in
insurance, probate, guardianship and conservatorship matters.
Prior to joining Folkestad Fazekas Barrick & Patoile, P.C., Mr. Barrick served as
a Judge Advocate and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the United States Air
Force where he gained a unique perspective serving as both defense counsel
to high-profile clients before courts-martial in the Pacific Rim and Southeast
Asia, and later as managing trial attorney and chief prosecutor of the Air
Force’s busiest criminal justice office.
Mr. Barrick was also selected to defend the Air Force against land-use
reclamations, toxic tort claims, wrongful death claims, and employment
disputes. He remains associated with the Air Force as senior counsel and
adviser to the Colorado Air National Guard. Mr. Barrick was employed as a
trial attorney for an insurance defense firm in Denver after leaving active duty
and before joining Folkestad Fazekas. He is licensed in Colorado, Nebraska
and Iowa.
